Let the stress begin!
Today was my first day of summer 1 classes and I already have 3 chapters of homework to do...these next 19 days are going to be the death of me, especially since I have long work days ahead of me along with long school days. I keep trying to stay positive and just remind myself of how much fun I'm going to have at Texas State and that it'll be all worth it in the end. Less talking and more working is what I need to be doing right now but a much needed homework break was needed! Hope everyone is having a great hump day!

So long sweet summer
I know what you're thinking, "but...summer just started?" exactly why I'm so sad. Summer school starts tomorrow which means back to my hectic schedule which consists of work and school everyday...all day. Although, in a way I'm super anxious to just start and get it over with! If everything goes according to plan, then after this class I will send out my application to Texas State and hopefully attend there this Fall. I can't wait to be on my own and spread my baby wings! I'm such an independent person so you can probably imagine how eager I am to get out! Of course I'm going to be upset a little because I'll be missing out on Allie's first day of Kindergarten and Ava's first day of 3K...I love hearing the new songs they've learned and having them run up to me so excited to show me the arts and crafts they did that day. Thank the lord for FaceTime and Skype! Well I'm glad I got in some blogging after that last dramatic post from yesterday. Back to work I go!

Props to Madison Harrington for this little survey! :)
Greed:
What is your most expensive beauty product?
Definitely would have to say my straightener. I am so picky with what kind of straightener I use for my hair since for one, I have extremely thick hair and two, I absolutely hate the amount of damage a cheap straightener can do to my hair. I use the TIGI PRO straightener that I got from my aunt since she owns a T&G so I guess it really isn't so expensive since she totally butchers the price for us :)
What is your least expensive beauty product?
I'd have to say my eyeshadow pallets and mascara. My cousin sells Mark and AVON so I mostly get them from her. You will always see in my makeup bag a cream/brown/black pallet for everyday wear and for my mascara I carry AVON's Super Shock mascara. It makes your eyelashes not only incredibly long but bold as well!
Wrath:
What beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Would definitely have to say nail polish. I love love love nail polish and almost always have my nails painted with a new color every other week but I absolutely hate the way they chip so easily no matter if I do them myself or get them done at the nail salon. Sometimes I just give up and do without any color and just go with the nude/natural look.
What beauty product is the hardest to get?
I don't think any beauty products of mine are really hard to get. Lucky me!
Gluttony:
What is your most delicious beauty product?
I would have to say my AVON Fruity Lip Juice! Not only does it give your lips this pretty long lasting lip color but tastes yummy too! I currently have Guava flavor! Mmmm!
Sloth:
What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
Really it just depends on where I'm going and what time of the day it is.
Pride:
What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I'd say a delicious perfume. I have tons of perfumes and honestly you can never have enough. My current favs are Haiku from AVON and Juicy Couture. They are perfect for the summertime!
Lust:
What are your favorite attributes in the opposite sex?
Smile, confidence, and the ability to make me laugh. I just so happened to hit the jackpot and find all three in the same man :) Definitely agree with you on this one Madison!
Envy:
What is your favorite beauty product that you like to receive as a gift?
I would say perfume or stuff for my hair!

Re -cap Wednesday
I swear trying to keep up with this blog is a lot easier said than done. I know I always repeatedly say "I promise to keep up with it this time!" but working and getting ready for school are to blame for my lack of blogging and here I am once again telling you that I promise to keep it up this time!
On that note, why don't I take the time to re-cap this amazing weekend I had with Anthony? I drove down Saturday and got there in pretty good time! Only 4 hours and 15 min! That's a record time! Okay, maybe I did speed a little but shhh, don't tell my parents! As soon as I walked in of course Anthony was still asleep since he practically gets absolutely no sleep from his night shifts! After waking the sleepyhead up we had lunch with his parents and aunt that he has never met! Anthony's dad had his sister come visit after 19 years of not seeing each other. How crazy is that?! She drove with her husband all the way from Mississippi! It was nice for Anthony to meet and chat with her since he hardly knows anyone from his dad's side of the family!
After lunch we finally got some a little alone time. We went to the mall for a little to walk off our food and just look around. After a good hour we headed back to his house and just hung out the rest of the night. I was inside with his mother and aunt while he was outside with his dad and uncle. The next day after sleeping in till nearly 12 we got up and got some lunch at, surprise surprise, WingStop!
Tons of wings later, we made our way to Canyon Lake with his softball team he plays with! I'm not much of a lake kinda gal but let me tell you I had the best time! Bud Light Lime-A-Rita's, good company, my love, and a beautiful day was just what I needed! We even stayed in a cute little cabin! Only down side is that Ant and I had to squeeze on top of a bunk bed but by later that night I could care less where I slept! The next morning, or should I say afternoon, we made our way down to the little camp sight where everyone was cooking out burgers and hot dogs and we even squeezed in a little sand volleyball! My team totally beat Ant's team but I bet if you asked him he'd deny it. Men and their pride ;)
After we ate we made it back to his house and took much needed showers and went out for our last dinner together at none other than Pericos, a mexican restaurant of course followed by a little time watching the Heat vs Celtics game. We were exhausted and all I wanted to do was be in his arms and go to sleep and thats just what I did. I was definitely not looking forward to the next morning. I felt like the weekend went by too fast and I didn't want it to end. Let's just say when morning came around I was an emotional wreck and I couldn't stop crying the whole drive home. I know that I'll see him soon though. The main key is to stay optimistic through this whole process of being long distant. Much easier said than done hands down but I try my hardest to look at the positives in this situation.
Now here I am on a rainy Wednesday night, tired and a little lonely. Thank God for blogging. It's the perfect type of therapy and it definitely does the trick and gets my head clear and out of the dumps. Happy Hump Night Y'all!

Here in San Antonio and I'm already having so much fun. Any moment with Anthony is seriously the best. My cheeks hurt so much from smiling all day! Anthony and I had a serious bonding BFF/ BF-GF moment last night and it brought us that much closer. Like I've written in my previous posts, long distance can make your heart ache like you never thought it could and its seriously takes a toll on you and sometimes even land in depression, but it's so worth it once you see each other. I really do believe that long distance itself doesn't tear a couple apart, it's the individuals in the relationship because if you truly love that person you can and you will make it work no matter what. As long as you love that person unconditionally through perfect and tough situations, cherish every moment you have with them, communicate, and maintain loyalty you will make it. Okay, okay, enough with the blogging now and time to enjoy the little time I have with my love :)

Crunch Time
It's finals week and its time to get down to the nitty gritty and ace these exams. You may not get a blog from me this week cause i'll be studying my pretty little ass off. I'm going out of my mind already and it's only Monday. Energy drinks are the only thing keeping me alive and going right now and I never drink energy drinks. They usually gross me out and I get all jittery and I hate that feeling but I have no choice but to drink them right now! Long story short, it's time for hell week and I need to be prepared whether I'm ready or not! Good luck on finals everyone!

Work It Out
My work out routine has been so out of whack. I'm so inconsistent with my dieting and work out plan. I'll be so good for a month and then once I hit my period, I'm done. My diet is thrown out the door and I hardly seem to make it to the gym. This will change though. Not only do I have summer as my motivation but also Anthony. He's lost so much weight and definitely looks significantly different from when he was in football. He has great will power and when he puts his mind to something, nothing will stop him or get in his way...if only I were like that. I break so easily. I hate it but I can't help that food is my passion! Wow, I sounded so fat there...but really, I love to eat. Even though I'm not even close to being "fat" I know If I really put my mind to it and was consistent with hitting the gym hard and dieting even harder then I could really have my dream bod. I guess it's time for me to actually start and stop blogging about it, right?
I'm just really not having a good week...I feel so overwhelmed with tests and quizzes and exams are right around the corner. The only upside is that summer is literally in a week. I was supposed to go down to San Antonio today to see Anthony but that's not happening anymore since my boss decided to change the schedule and work me this WHOLE WEEKEND. I'm beyond pissed but what can I do...this leads me to the topic of long distance relationships...no one ever said that this would be easy but once you actually go through it you really see how difficult it really is. The only thing that's difficult is the fact that you are never sure of when you'll see one another again. It could be a week or even a month. It's not hard in the sense that we can't be faithful to one another or anything like that, just the simple fact of being apart from your best friend, lover, and other half is complete torture. I feel like if you really love that person, you will make it work. No one said it'd be all daises and sunshine even though we'd like it to be most of the time, but I truly feel long distance can work. Anthony and I love each other more than anyone could ever know. He's beyond just being my boyfriend, he's so much more. I know with all my heart that he's the one I want to spend my life with. Call me crazy for saying that I want to marry this man even though I'm barley 20, but when you know, you know. He's like no other and one of the most sincere, caring, and all around a good genuine guy. He makes me so happy and he gets me like no one else does. Bottom line, I love him and he loves me and I can honestly say that I know 100% that we will make it. Yeah, it's hard right now because I went from seeing him everyday to seeing him every other week or month, but if we can get through this we can get through anything. Although there's a lot of downers of being long distance, there's also great things that come out of it. We've both learned to appreciate each other more and never take our time together for granted. We are always happy and never let any petty thing that we may have fought about in the past get in the way of our time together. This process has really matured our relationship immensely and in a way I'm very grateful for this blessing in disguise. These next few months of being apart will be nothing. He has moved almost a year ago and if we can make if through this tough transition then we can conquer anything that comes our way.

What a drag
Here's to another week of school and we're almost coming to the end. Next week is basically the last week of school and it actually makes me kind of nervous. The last little scramble of assignments and extra credit...I just can't wait for the summer time even though I'll be taking classes this summer. All I can keep my mind on though is this weekend. I'm hoping that everything works out so I can go down to San Antonio this weekend with my grandparents so I can spend the weekend with Anthony! I'm missing that boy like crazy already. Well, here we goooo

A Beautiful Mess
You're the kind of girl who can take down a man,
And lift him back up again
You are strong but you're needy,
Humble but you're greedy
And based on your body language,
And shoddy cursive I've been reading
Your style is quite selective,
though your mind is rather reckless
Well I guess it just suggests
that this is just what happiness is
Hey, what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write
Kind of turn themselves into knives
And don't mind my nerve you could call it fiction
But I like being submerged in your contradictions, dear
'Cause here we are, here we are
Although you were biased I love your advice
Your comebacks ‒ they're quick
And probably have to do with your insecurities
There's no shame in being crazy,
Depending on how you take these
Words that paraphrasing this relationship we're staging
And what a beautiful mess, yes it is
It's like we're picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say
Kind of turn themselves into blades
And "kind and courteous" is a life I've heard
But it's nice to say that we played in the dirt
'Cause here, here we are, here we are
Here we are
We're still here
What a beautiful mess this is
It's like taking a guess when the only answer is "Yes"
Through timeless words and priceless pictures
We'll fly like birds not of this earth
And tides ‒ they turn ‒ and hearts disfigure
But that's no concern when we're wounded together
And we tore our dresses and stained our shirts
But it's nice today. Oh, the wait was so worth it.
Tori Kelly
I've been following her videos on YouTube for the past year and half. I love her soulful type voice. She's so young and has some serious pipes on her. She's slowly getting bigger and bigger and I want her to be famous already! She's way better than Selena Gomez or Miley...let's be real now. I mean, I love me some Miley and Selena but they need to stick to acting. Not saying that I don't find some of their songs catchy but...well...you get what I'm saying. Here's her latest song live.
Music To My Ears
I was just online looking up some good concerts that are coming to Dallas for the summer...Drake, Avicii, Kaskade, 311 & Slightly Stoopid, Afrojack...those are just a few but need I say more? I plan to go to most of them if not all of them. I absolutely love music and the whole atmosphere at concerts/music festivals. It's so fun to just dance your ass off and sing every word to your favorite songs! Music is an escape for me...a time to just let everything go and not give a shit about whats going on at that time...a time to feel free and let the music move your body and take over. Sounds cheesy, but it's so true and you know you feel the exact same way. Summer is literally around the corner and it's time to put down the books and have a little fun!

Pop Shokk
Yesterday I had a photo shoot with an up and coming clothing line called Pop Shokk Apparel. The line consists of sweatshirts and t-shirts. They are pretty cool if I do say so myself! The cofounder of the line is my cousins boss and he showed him a picture of me and insisted I come in. I've never done any type of "modeling" but it sounded like it'd be super fun and I certainly didn't take it too seriously. If anything, I was totally laughing at myself the whole time. We started shooting in a studio in Deep Ellum and eventually made our way around to a roof and these cool places to give us a little vintage feel. The people were super nice and to top it off they're having a red carpet launch party this next month and I get to bring whoever and have a fun night to dress up, dance, and get free shit. Bad ass! The pictures won't be on his website until later next week but here is a little feel of what it'll look like and here's some of his product!

Mr. A-Z
Jason Mraz has been a personal favorite of mine for years. His voice is so beautiful and what I love most is that it's even more beautiful live. His new single is such a feel good song and of course I love it.
Here's also one of his songs from his last album that is my absolute favorite! I just can't get over his voice!
